Then she was gone by Lisa Jewell.

Lisa Jewell's books have been all around bookstagram for a while and I always wanted to pick one. And I must say this book has lived upto it's hype.

The story is about Ellie, who is fifteen, gets disappeared from her house one fine day, leaving her family shattered. There has been investigations with no results. It's been 10 years since she disappeared and for Laurel, Ellie's mother , it's a battle she fights every other day, between her own hopes and the dreary reality.

As you begin to explore the possibilities about how a seemingly happy child can run away or disappear from her house, new characters are introduced that creates a sort of eeriness that makes you go eww. I loved the narration that goes back and forth, which holds the eeriness. And that has the impact on pace, which made me want to finish this in one sitting.

I believe for everyone it might be possible to guess the person, but there is certainly the 'why's' and 'how' that needs to be answered.

Overall, a super exciting thriller.
